Application requirements (applicable to most applicants):
Holds Australian permanent resident status
Within the four years prior to submitting the application, applicants must have accumulated at least three years of residency.
Having permanent resident status and residing in Australia within the last 12 months
Good English communication skills
No serious criminal record
Pass the citizenship test (learn about Australian history, culture, laws, etc.)
Citizenship Process:
Online application + payment
Awaiting review and interview scheduling
Take the citizenship test (applicable to ages 18-59)
After approval, attend the citizenship oath ceremony.
Becoming a full Australian citizen allows you to apply for an Australian passport.
