Direct Admission from College Entrance Examination

Direct entry through the National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) refers to applying directly to Australian university undergraduate programs using a student's Gaokao score. As long as the Gaokao score meets the university's minimum requirements, direct entry is possible. Currently, most Australian universities recognize the Chinese Gaokao score. (The percentage represents the ratio of actual score to total Gaokao score.)

Of course, while Gaokao (National Higher Education Entrance Examination) scores are important when applying to Australian universities, English language proficiency is equally crucial. For students whose language requirements are not met, most Australian universities offer direct entry programs for language courses. Upon completion, students can directly enroll in their main course without disrupting their studies.

International Year 1 Program

The International Year One Diploma is a bridging program to undergraduate studies. It requires applicants to have graduated from high school and provides intensive instruction in professional courses, study skills, and language proficiency.

Foundation application

For high school graduates who are not taking the National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) or whose Gaokao scores do not meet the direct entry requirements, applying directly to an Australian foundation program is an option. Australian undergraduate foundation programs are bridging courses designed to help students smoothly transition from high school to undergraduate studies. Applications are typically accepted after the first semester of the second year of high school and include language, academic skills, and foundational subject-specific courses. Upon completion of the foundation program, students can enter their undergraduate studies.
