Temporary Graduate Visa – Subclass 485

The 485 visa is a temporary work visa that international students can apply for after completing a higher education course in Australia. It is an important step for many people to transition from studying to immigrating.

590 Student Guardian Visa
Student Guardian Visa – Subclass 590

The 590 visa is a guardian visa for parents or relatives of underage international students studying in Australia. The guardian must accompany the student in Australia to ensure the child's daily life, studies, and safety.

Target audience:

  • Parents, grandparents or other legal guardians accompanying their children to school

  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.

  • The students being accompanied are between 6 and 17 years old (high school level).

Scope of application:

  • Language Schools (ELICOS)

  • Primary and secondary school curriculum

  • Higher education (undergraduate, master's, doctoral)

  • TAFE (Technical Education and Training) courses

  • Research-based courses

Visa features:

  • Visa validity usually coincides with the course duration.

  • You can work a fixed amount of time every two weeks as stipulated.

  • Spouse and children can accompany you.

  • Multiple entries allowed into Australia

  • After graduation, you can apply for a 485 work visa (subject to meeting the requirements).

Application materials should include:

  • COE (Confirmation of Enrollment)

  • GTE (Genuine Temporary Entry Declaration)
